Lacock is a picture-perfect village in Wiltshire that is now owned and managed by the National Trust. The village has been beautifully preserved and is largely unchanged since it was a thriving township trading in wool. It’s quaint streets are regularly used as film locations, such as the Cranford series and parts of the Harry Potter movies. Lark Rise to Candleford and Lost in Austen were also filmed in Lacock. The village church of St Cyriac features in many on-screen period pieces. The romantic Lacock Abbey, founded in 1229 by Ela Countess Dowager of Salisbury, is another charming local attraction.

At just 9.5 miles (20 minutes’ drive) from Mill Farm Glamping, we’d recommend visiting Lacock during your stay in Wiltshire. A fantastic day out for all the family to enjoy!
