Raising The Baa – Sheep Herding
Rounding up a flock of sheep into a pen is an everyday activity for a shepherd which needs a certain amount of skill and patience. Fancy trying your hand at it?
Thanks to local team building company Raising the Baa you can play Baa-gatelle™ in the grounds of Mill Farm. This is sheep-herding with a twist as you will find out on the day.
Think pinball with sheep! A group of people is challenged to herd a small flock of sheep around a number of obstacles and into the pen. Simple. Or is it? Points are awarded per obstacle, some harder than others, and the clock is ticking. So is it quality or quantity you’re after – it’s your choice!
Raising the Baa was founded (quite by accident!) by local sheep farmer Chris Farnsworth and it soon caught the attention of the media, including BBC’s The One Show where candidates from The Apprentice were challenged to herd sheep into a pen. His company has now been running team building with sheep programmes for companies for several years. Baa-gatelle™ is their newest ‘just for fun’ activity and provides a real taste of the world of shepherding.
