The Dyke family have been welcoming guests to Mill Farm in Wiltshire since 2007. They know exactly what it takes to deliver exceptionally comfortable, unforgettable holidays — making Mill Farm Glamping a top choice for families, couples, group holidays, and corporate outings.
Set in the rolling countryside near Poulshot, the farm sits just 3 miles from the market town of Devizes. Mill Farm and neighbouring Belle Vue Farm are surrounded by swathes of idyllic green pastures and ancient woodland, home to abundant wildlife, wandering alpacas, and the finest sunsets in Wiltshire.

Chris Dyke
Farmer Chris
Joe and Izzy's fun and hugely hospitable son shares his infectious enthusiasm for good food, farming and the local Wiltshire countryside with guests. A skilled mechanic, he is, however, slightly less keen about emptying the site's septic tank!
"We love sharing everything about Mill Farm with our guests – from feeding the calves and chickens or just enjoying a walk along the stream. We're passionate about organic farming and there's something here to delight every guest. It's a very special place and a very special experience."

With a passion for all things mechanical — particularly mowers and strimmers — you can be sure a lawn or a weed is not left untouched for long! More commonly known as the Lawn Enforcement Officer, George has an engineering background and is the main host for our Shire Houses since their inception.

Joe Dyke
Owner Joe's passionate commitment to organic farming began in 2000, when his sister fell ill. She convinced him that natural methods offered a healthier, happier way to grow food. Now Joe loves sharing his organic knowledge with his guests, as well as his keen interest in woodland.

Izzy Dyke
Farmer's daughter and mother-of-four, Izzy shares her husband Joe's passion for organic farming and living life to the full. She loves mixing family with farming, and enjoys meeting guests who come to stay at Mill Farm Glamping in Wiltshire. A talented artist, Izzy used to paint miniatures on goose feathers.
Our land
Two organic farms, one extraordinary place
The Dyke family own the flourishing Mill Farm, along with neighbouring Belle Vue Farm. Both farms have been run organically and certified since 2000. Belle Vue is home to our herd as exclusive Wagyu calf rearers, alongside a small gaggle of organic geese, donkeys, rabbits and guinea pigs.
Joe and Izzy Dyke are the third generation of Dykes to tend this very special corner of the British countryside. They passionately believe that organic farming is a more natural choice — better for the health of their cattle, the land, and the people who eat from it.
Guests can explore the farm's Top and Bottom Water Meadow, visit the honesty shop, play in the straw arena, walk with alpacas, and much more.

A storied past
The birthplace of a highwayman
Mill Farm is famed as the birthplace and home of Wiltshire's notorious 18th-century highwayman, Thomas Boulter. In 1774, Boulter made a legendary escape on horseback from Staines to Poulshot — riding across two counties in under one day, covering 70 miles in just 7 hours on a mare called Black Bess, rumoured to be descended from Dick Turpin's horse of the same name.
Thomas Boulter was born at Poulshot Mill in around 1748. He worked here as a miller until 1774, when he took to the road as a highwayman. After numerous daring hold-ups and escapes, he was finally recaptured, tried and sentenced to death. Hanged at Winchester on 19th August 1778, his execution was attended by large crowds, many of whom regarded him as a People's Hero.
Today, the farm carries that spirit of adventure in a rather more welcoming way — offering guests their own legendary escapes into the Wiltshire countryside.
