1) Rock The Tots: Spooky Fun

Rock The Tots: Spooky Fun is the perfect Halloween entertainment for your little ones. Join Steph and Craig for a glorious gig featuring live music, puppet friends, plenty of giggles, bubbles, and more! Get into the spooky mood and dress up in your best fancy dress costumes and prepare for some monster tunes including Thriller, Ghostbusters, and Monster Mash.

2) Witchcraft and Magic Pumpkin Trail

When: Saturday 21st – Tuesday 31st October 2023

Where: Bowood House and Gardens

Distance from Mill Farm Glamping: 25-minute drive

A great treat for the whole family this Halloween is the Witchcraft and Magic Pumpkin Trail at Bowood House and Gardens. Join Witch Ramona and her black cat Luna on a hunt to break the spell that ghosts and ghouls have cast over the Bowood Estate. Find all the clues needed to complete Ramona’s magic rhyme as you work your way around the pumpkin trail. Visitors are encouraged to dress up in their spookiest costumes and pose for a photo in one of the selfie frames!

3) Outdoor Adventure Cinema

When: Friday 13th – Sunday 15th October 2023

Where: Bowood House and Gardens

Fancy seeing some spooky movie classics on the big screen this Halloween? Head to Bowood House and Gardens’ Outdoor Adventure Cinema, as they screen spooky favourites such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday 13th October, Hocus Pocus on Saturday 14th October, and Ghostbusters on Sunday 15th October. You’ll find hot food and snacks available to buy, an on-site bar to grab some drinks, and you can even bring your own picnic and drinks with you.

4) Shivers and Shadows

When: Saturday 28th October 2023, 2pm

Where: Neeld Community & Arts Centre

Another fantastic activity to get your little ones excited about Halloween is Squashbox Theatre’s haunting show, Shivers and Shadows. Get ready to shiver, shudder, and scream with Craig, your friendly host, who has just inherited a creepy mansion from his great uncle Vladimir. Join him as he explores the mansion’s secrets and meets some of its strange, spooky inhabitants.

This overflowing cauldron of a show is full of delightful frights and hilarious horrors, bubbling with ingenious puppetry, and seasoned with scary stories and live music. It’s recommended for children aged 6+, as it will contain mildly scary content and some loud noises which might make you jump.

5) Halloween Cooking Workshop

When: Saturday 21st October 2023, 10am – 12noon & Saturday 28th October 2023, 9:30am – 11:30am

Where: Leigh Park Community Centre

Distance from Mill Farm Glamping: 30-minute drive Love getting stuck into baking or arts and crafts? Join Leigh Park Community Centre for their annual Halloween activities, where you can make, bake, and decorate a selection of spooky Halloween biscuits, plus join in with spooky arts and crafts, make your own scary mask, and personalise a Halloween bag. It’s the perfect way to spend a fun, Halloween-themed morning with the kids.

6) Owl-O-Ween

When: Friday 27th & Saturday 28th October 2023, 6pm – 8.30pm

Where: Hawk Conservancy Trust

Distance from Mill Farm Glamping: 45-minute drive

Looking for a wicked evening out for the whole family to enjoy this October? Join the Hawk Conservancy Trust for Owl-O-Ween for some ghostly storytelling as the mystical owls take flight in two interactive flying displays over the moonlit grounds. Your ticket will include a delicious supper and a surprise spooky treat, too!

7) Charms and Curses Spellbook – A Leather Wraparound Bookbinding Workshop

When: Saturday 28th October 2023, 11am – 4:30pm

Where: Fisherton Mill

An enchanting activity adults will love this October is Charms and Curses Spellbook – A Leather Wraparound Bookbinding Workshop. Learn how to make a wraparound with eco-friendly art paper made from recycled coffee cups, and natural leather remnants from upholstery. You’ll be able to personalise your new journal with a ribbon and charm bookmark and carve a writing wand that weaves between slots in the leather to secure the cover! This is a fantastic spooky activity for all book lovers interested in finding out how books are bound together.
