How to Spend a Summer's Day at Mill Farm Glamping

Explore the Farm & Local Countryside

Mill Farm Glamping is set on an organic farm in the heart of the glorious Wiltshire countryside. Our luxury accommodation is situated in the farm’s Top and Bottom Water Meadows, surrounded by organic pastures, streams, ancient oak trees and historic hedgerows. The farm is home to our friendly herd of ducks, chickens, goats, alpacas and donkeys. Guests are welcome to collect eggs from the chickens, join in with animal feeding times and explore the farm at their leisure.

The surrounding Wiltshire countryside has access to some of the finest footpaths and trails. They were actually once used by Wiltshire’s famous highwayman, Thomas Boulter, who was born at Poulshot Mill in 1748. Walk, ride, paddle, fish – or just soak up the sun and the tranquil scenery. We highly recommend heading outside the farm guests and seeing where nature takes you!

Take Part in Our Amazing On-Site Activities

We have many amazing activities to offer here at Mill Farm that are perfect for a sunny summer’s day.

If you’ve always wanted to get up close and personal with alpacas, now’s your chance! Walk alongside our friendly alpacas in our fields and surrounding countryside, whilst learning some fascinating facts along the way. As well as alpacas, our farm is also home to an adorable herd of donkeys. Children aged 10 and under can enjoy riding on our resident donkey, Moto, for the ultimate summer afternoon activity.

One of the most popular activities we offer here on site is archery lessons. Our very own Farmer Georgie is a qualified archery instructor, and he will help teach you the correct techniques for a safe and enjoyable archery session. Or if archery isn’t your cup of tea, why not give laser clay pigeon shooting a go? We offer a unique system just like real clay pigeon shooting but in a completely safe environment for all the family to enjoy.

Finally, if you’re intrigued about the inner workings of a modern English farm, why not embark on one of our farm tours? Experience the thrill of being whizzed around the fields on our King Gator and learn all about the general workings of our farm. You may even get to see the badger setts up close and personal, too!
